History: This fort was built in the 17th century by Bhagwant Das for his son Madho Singh. After the Mughal Empire became weaker post the death of King Aurangzeb, this fort was forcefully occupied by Jai Singh II. Legends: According to legends, a sadhu has an injunction that any house should not be built taller than the fort. If the shadow of another house falls on the fort, the town will be destroyed.
According to another tale, a wizard fell in love with the princess of Bhangarh. The wizard named Sinhai was very skilled in black magic and once tried to offer the princess a love potion. She refused it and threw it on to a large rock, the rock eventually rolled on to the wizard and crushed him to death.

The Shaniwar Wada Fort
The Shaniwar Wada Fort is a historic place in Pune associated with Peshwa Bajirao. Though it is a beautiful fort to visit yet it is known as one of the spookiest places in India. Location: This Fort is located on Bajirao Road, Shaniwar Peth of Pune, Maharashtra.
History: This fort was built by Peshwa Baji Rao I, a general under Chhatrapati Maharaj of the Maratha Empire. After the death of Baji Rao, the empire was commanded by his son Nana Saheb. Nana Saheb died in a battle and later his eldest out of three sons acquired the empire.
Nana Saheb’s second son also died in a battle, which eventually worsened the situation of his elder brother. He was not able to handle the death of his brother and gave up his life. The youngest son Narayan Rao who was around 16 years old, was responsible for the empire after the deaths of his two brothers. He had no experience handling the empire and was under the guidance of his wicked uncle Raghunath Rao.
Narayan Rao who had no good bond with the tribe of hunters called Gardi was attacked and killed under the command of Raghunath Rao who manipulated the Gardi.
Legends: The level of spookiness increases more on full moon nights. The young prince’s cries are often heard. People hear screams of the young boy crying for help as he was murdered ruthlessly.

History: The village was previously occupied by Paliwal Brahmins who used the land for agriculture purposes. It is believed that the village was vacated due to scarcity of water and also for not being able to afford the excessive taxes by the Diwan, named Salim Singh.
Legends: There was a different version of the sudden abandonment of the village. Diwan Salim Singh set an eye on the village girl and ordered his guards to force the villagers to hand her over to Diwan. The villagers convinced the guards to come back the next day and thus the villagers cleared the village overnight.
While leaving, the brahmins cursed that the land could not be inhibited by anyone. The village was never re-inhabited for reasons unknown and unusual activities are noted in that place.
How to reach: One can reach the abandoned village Kuldhara that is 18-20 kilometers away from the main city Jaisalmer of Rajasthan.
Golconda Fort
Golconda Fort is the most visited and historic place originally built by the Kakatiya’s. It was previously called Mankal. The fort was later expanded by the Qutub shah dynasty.
