- Close the left fist and place it on the left knee. Make sure that the thumb is facing in an upward direction.
- Look in the straight direction, keep your head intact.
- Breathe out and keep your focus on the thumb.
- Breathe on, keep your eyes focused in the straight direction.
- Repeat the same procedure with another thumb as well.
- At last, close your eyes and relax.
Rotational viewing
You can practice this exercise by following these simple steps: –
- Keep your leg straight and sit.
- Put the left hand on the left knee.
- Keep the right hand on the right knee, make sure that the thumb in the upward direction. Elbows should be straight.
- Keep your head straight and focus on the thumb.
- Keep the elbow straight and make small circles with the thumb.
- Repeat the exercise 10-20 times in clockwise and anticlockwise direction.
- Repeat the procedure with another thumb as well.
- Close your eyes and relax a bit at last.
Up and Down viewing
This exercise can be practiced every day by following the steps mentioned below: –
- Sit in a quiet place with legs straight.
- Make sure that the thumbs are pointing towards the upward direction with a fist on the knees.
- Raise the right thumb. Follow the thumb’s motion with your eyes.
- When the thumb is raised to its maximum potential, follow the motion of the thumb.
- Repeat this yoga for the eye with the other thumb.
- Try to practice this at least 5 times for each thumb.
- Remember to keep your head and spine straight.
Preliminary nose tip gazing
You can practice this yoga for the eye by following the steps mentioned below: –
- Cross your leg and sit comfortably.
- Lift your right arm in front of your nose.
- Keep your right thumb in an upward direction.
- Focus both eyes on the thumb.
- Bend the arm slowly to the tip of the nose.
- Remain in this position for a while.
- Continue to look at the thumb and slowly straighten the arm.
- Repeat at least 5 times the same procedure.
Near and distant viewing

- Sit in a place with a clear view of the horizon. Put your arms by your side.
- Focus on the tip of your nose for 20 seconds.

- Inhale during the close viewing and exhale during distant viewing.
